I just love the prophetic.
I love how it builds faith when you give a word and receive a word.
We have received the most incredibly accurate and detailed words over the years. These words have been treasures that have helped navigate our journey with God. There are so many examples I could share of how God has powerfully used the prophetic in our lives. As I think about our earliest prophetic words I realize they were geared toward building our faith in the prophetic.
In 2014 we were visiting Bethel Church and we went to the prophetic rooms to receive a prophetic word. The girl giving us the word had never met us and she knew nothing about us. She said, “The first thing I saw was the two of you playing the game London Bridges Falling Down” I had just returned from Haiti 2 months before and on this particular trip I randomly played London Bridges with the children. God was building our faith in the prophetic.
Jesus says, “My sheep hear my voice” We are created to be prophetic people. God said that He would pour out His Spirit on all flesh and we would prophesy.
Paul says, “pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.”
