Deliverance and healing is part of the gospel and cannot be removed from it.

Jesus says in Mark 16:15-18, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”

Can you just imagine?  I can and this is the life in Christ I so passionately am seeking.

If we ignore deliverance we are withholding essential tools that Jesus gave to us as the Bride of Christ.

Christ has made our mission clear for us in Isaiah 58:6-7,

1. loose the bonds of wickedness,
2. undo the heavy burdens,
3. let the oppressed go free,
4. break every yoke
5. share your bread with the hungry
6. bring to your house the poor who are cast out
7. when you see the naked, cover them
8. do away with the yoke of oppression
9. Do away with pointing fingers and malicious talk
10. spend ourselves in behalf of the hungry
11. satisfy the needs of the oppressed

He makes His will for our life so clear and yet I wonder how I missed it in the past.  How has casting out demons through deliverance ministry, speaking in new language, walking in our authority over demons and laying hands on the sick and seeing them healed been left out of the church when it is clearly outlined for us in scripture?

I am choosing to no longer wrestle with this question but to begin using it and with the power of Christ in me setting as many people free as I can and healing as many people as I can get my hands on.  I am receiving the call to teach deliverance and equip believers so that the ripple effect of what I have learned will impact our city, our nation and the world. Through my own personal deliverance in 2014, and subsequent one’s as the Lord continues to clean house, the Lord put a burning fire in me to see His children free and victorious.

I want the promises of God that my light will break forth like the dawn, and my healing will quickly appear; and my righteousness will go before me, and the glory of the Lord will be my rear guard.  I will call and the Lord will answer, I will cry for help and He will say:  Here am I.   My light will rise in the darkness, and my night will become like the noonday.  The Lord will guide me always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.  I will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.  My people will rebuild the ancient ruins, and will raise up the age-old foundations; I will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.  [paraphrased Isaiah 58:8-12]

I want to spend my life doing His will “achieving a spiritual victory by snatching a soul, an oppressed life, from the hands of the enemy.” [page 42]

Deliverance is the evidence that God wants us to live whole, victorious and healthy lives.  [page 57] It is removing the legal right that has been given to the enemy.

Jesus came to deliver us, to remove the yoke of oppression and captivity from the hands of the devil. [page 56] 1 John 3:8 says, “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.”

The preaching of the Good News has never been separated from the need to drive out demons and to heal the sick. All three functions are included in this one command. [page 57]

Deliverance is necessary and it is God’s purpose because Christ is coming back for a Victorious Bride.
