“Praise the Lord.  Who is like the Lord our God, the One who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?  He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes, with the princes of their people.  He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children.  Praise the Lord.”  Psalm 113

If we looked at those around us through the eyes of God we would see that their value has no relationship to their wealth or their posistion on the social ladder.  Do your actions reflect that all people are valuable and useful?  Do you treat the homeless man or the teen mother as though they have value?  If we truly seek to be more like Christ than we would see the world as He see’s it.

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’  “He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’  Matthew 25

What will Jesus say to you when He comes in all his glory?  Will you be seperated with the sheep or the goats.

It is not the responsibilty of the church or the governmnet to care for those in need, Jesus demands our personal involvement in loving and caring for those around us.

Ask the Lord today to give you eyes to see what He sees.
