The Value of Deliverance is that it belongs to the church and is part of the sanctification process.  Jesus gave us this gift as part of our authority that was handed to us as believers through His finished work on the cross.

A balanced healing ministry is described in one sentence by Horrobin* as “one that ministers healing to the spirit, soul and body of people as well as delivering them from the powers of darkness”.

This means that a balanced healing ministry seeks to focus on healing in all areas of the believer.  It is part of our sanctification process.  Sanctification means “to be set apart for God” or to be made more holy through conforming to the image of His Son.  1 Thessalonians 5:23, “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  In order for us to go through this sanctification process we must be released from any area of our life that is under the influence of the enemy.  We need to change the view of deliverance from one of being negative to a positive part of our sanctification process with the Lord.
