So here is my greatest idea…
I want to buy a successful fast food franchise system and use it as a training ground to train, develop and mentor young people!
Michelle and I meet many people in our circle of influence that need jobs but that don’t have the typical job skills necessary to qualify for many of the jobs that are available.
Here’s the deal: What if we took a proven system (McDonald’s, Burger King, Chic-Fil-A, White Castle, etc.) and ran the business as a Mentoring program? The goal is to train young people (train them in the specific job associated with the restaurant) and to mentor them in other life skills: How to fill our a resume, how to dress for a job interview, etc. This type of “ministry” would attract top notch people from other industry that would come as guest speakers, guest managers, guest mentors, etc. We could attract the best and brightest people in “making a difference in the lives of these young people.” (Young is relative, there could be old people that we could mentor as well).
What if we could use the proceeds (profits) to fund additional ministry work (especially in urban areas)?
Think of the people who would come along side and help with this. Running the business with people as the focus and not money! Would you get involved?
What if we looked at the “business” as a short term training program that would help us create a “training ground for champions” that we could then refer on to other businesses that may even afford our “students” more opportunity?
As a business owner, wouldn’t it be nice if I could provide you a person that always shows up to work on time, works all the time they work, has a great attitude, is outgoing and great with people and can pass a pre-employment drug screen? Plus they have a valid DL (or we will help them get one). Would you be interested?
If you are responsible for the franchising rights to a business that would work well in this model, please get in touch with me.
Likewise, if you catch the vision, please get in touch with me.
Great ideas need prayer, help and money.
Let’s make a difference together.
