The word “Balance” has a special meaning to me.

Twenty years ago, I was a struggling young car salesperson.  Then, thankfully, I read a book that changed my entire future; “How to Master the Art of Selling” by Tom Hopkins.

Tom taught me to sell cars (Thank you Tom) and how to communicate with people.  “How to Master the Art of Selling” helped me double my income three consecutive years in a row (Thank you Tom).

Imagine my excitement when I got the opportunity to see Tom Hopkins live and in person!  Tom was everything I hoped he would be, what a great training session.  Then, Tom started talking about living your life in balance.  Balance; Physically, Emotionally, Financially and Spiritually.

Physically?  Check.

Emotionally?  Check.

Financially?  Check.

Spiritually?  Let’s not talk about that.

Tom’s comments opened the door for the Lord to start working in my life.  It didn’t happen that day, but eventually I gave my life to the Lord and my life has never been the same (Praise the Lord)!

The Lord calls us all in different ways.  He used the word Balance in my life (I knew my life was out of Balance).  That was 14 years ago, and today I have fallen in love with the people of Balan (Balance).

We serve an amazing God, and yes, he has a great sense of humor.

The Salvation Army serves 47 schools in Haiti and they have said that Balan is the school with the most need.

Anybody else have a life out of Balance?  Pray for the Lord to come into your life and change you.  Paschal said that “we all have a God shaped vacuum in our heart.”  Ask God to fill you with his Holy Spirit.

Anybody have a life in Balance?  Consider joining us to bring that balance to the people of Balan, Haiti.
